The hospitality segment is all about service and how to ensure that your guest or customer gets the best comfort. This is a very difficult task because different people have different tastes and views about the service. In hospitality, there are mainly lodging, food, event planning, and entertainment. Currently, there are restrictions on lodging , events, and entertainments, we will discuss mainly on the food that too for restaurants. In restaurants we there are dine-in , takeaway, and kitchen management.   We will cover mainly dine-in and the takeaway part which is having front end interaction with customers.


During the pandamic all segments was trying different options to bring back business. Online and promotion through social media was one which gave some results. It was like having affairs with digital media , now time has come to get married because that is the way forward along with traditional way .


In traditional way the ambience , customer service and direct interaction was more important and of course the taste of the food they serve. In online space lot of this is not available . Customers decide in the online platform based on 3 R

Rating : Rating is basically customer feedback , it is not eacy to get feedback in the platform and once it is rated it will be available for public. Negative comments are easy to come but getting a satisfied customer to rate is not so easy . Satisfied customers has to be prompted or must have some motivation to rate the food .

Review :  Review is basically a textual feedback of the rating . It can be done by customer explaining the service . Review also will be done by various food bloggers which have lot of followers which will spread the word . This also have positive and negative impact .


Reach : It how far the digital media activity can reach , it can be coverage of your activity in all the media whcih has to result either to pull in crowd or get more online customers.


Lot of learning is still required how to make an optimal process in this media and get maximum customers . It will take some more time to know the effect of this digital ear .
